Navigate through various links in this site to know more about the event that has grown to be a key sporting celebration on Kenya's calender, a truly remarkable feat since it has only been run for two years, attracting over 2,600 runners in the latest edition held on May 23, 2010 at the historic Nairobi Uhuru Park Gardens, the grounds where ecstatic Kenyans ushered in their country's independence from the British on the night of June 1, 1963.

The first edition was held on May 24, 2009 where Sotokoto Marathon, as Kenyans love referring to the event, broke new frontiers by becoming the first ever road race to be held inside a national park inside a major city worldwide when it was hosted at Nairobi National Park.
